Scripture reminds us that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. One of the things I love most about Him is how deeply relational He is always finding unique and personal ways to speak to His people.

Yes, Moses had the burning bush—a once-in-a-lifetime encounter. But our divinely creative God still communicates with us today in ways that fit our lives, experiences, and even our modern culture.

Lately, I’ve noticed a new way God has been getting my attention—through the emphasis of a single word. One simple word, highlighted in different ways, has drawn me deeper into His truth and encouragement. That’s why I’m excited to share something I’ve come to call "Godcronyms" - divinely inspired insights of encouragement found in a single word.

Why Share "Godcronyms"?

Over the years, as I’ve provided spiritual encouragement in the workplace, I’ve become deeply aware of how easy it is to rely on our own strength instead of seeking God's wisdom, especially in professional settings. It’s a challenge I’ve seen time and again:

1️. In high-paced workplaces, we often need reminders to turn to God for insight, guidance, and discernment in our daily decisions. 2️. Many ambitious young professionals today are driven by autonomy and self-reliance, which can sometimes lead them to forget to ask for help—both from God and from others.

How God Speaks Through Godcronyms

I believe God has used this approach to reach me for two reasons: 1. My years in consulting, where projects were often identified by acronyms. Seeing meaning condensed into a few letters became second nature, and I now recognize how God uses simple words to carry deeper messages. 2. Our text-loving culture, where abbreviations shape how we communicate. (Think FOMO or an acronym like SMART - which forms a word while carrying deeper meaning.)

Through these Godcronyms, God highlights a single word to shift my focus back to Him, offering encouragement, wisdom, and a fresh perspective.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing some of the Godcronyms that have impacted me, with the hope that they will bless and encourage you too.

Have you ever had a single word stand out to you in a way that felt like a message from God?  Drop it in the comments—I’d love to hear how He’s speaking to you!

Stay tuned for the first post in this new series!
